Specifies how the cost of the resource on the assembly BOM is allocated during assembly. You can select from the following options.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
Direct | The resource cost is allocated per unit assembled. |
Fixed | The resource cost is allocated for the whole assembly order regardless of the order quantity. |
Example
A worker whose usage cost is directly proportional to the number of units that he or she assembles should be set to the Direct resource usage type.
A machine whose usage cost does not change with the number of units assembled should be set to the Fixed resource usage cost.
