To set up a sales invoice event

  1. Set up the E-Mail Inv. to check boxes on the customer card.

    1. Open the Customer Card window.
Navigate to Departments/Sales & Marketing/Lists/Customers, and then double-click the desired customer.
    2. Go to the Communication FastTab.
    3. Select the E-Mail Inv. to check boxes for the customer types that you want to receive a sales invoice.
Note: The Define Sales Invoice Recipients On field on the Event Notification Setup window determines which customer record to look at to determine who should receive a sales invoice notification based on the values in the E-Mail Inv. to check boxes.
  2. If required, set up the Do Not E-Mail Invoice field for ship-to addresses.

You can indicate that you never want a ship-to address to receive a sales invoice notification.

Selecting the Do Not E-Mail Invoice check box means that the ship-to customer will not receive a sales invoice even if the E-Mail Inv. to Ship-to check box is selected on the customer card.

    1. Open the Ship-to Address window.
From the Customer card, click the drop-down arrow in the Default Ship-To Code field and select Advanced. Click Edit
    2. Select the Do Not E-Mail Invoice check box.
    3. Click OK.
  3. If required, set up a scheduled event.

You can set up a scheduled event so that a sales invoice is sent at a defined time.

A Navision Application Server (NAS) is required for job scheduling.

Note: In order for contacts to receive scheduled notifications, the Receive Scheduled Notification check box must be selected for the contact on the Event Contacts window.

    1. Open the Events window.
      Navigate to Departments/Administration/Application Setup/Event Notifications/Events.
    2. Click the Scheduled Notification field for the SALES_INVOICE code. The Job Queue Entries window opens.
    3. Click New. The Job Queue Entry Card window opens.

    5. Enter 23019135 in the Object ID to Run field.
    6. Enter JOBQUEUE in the Parameter String field.
    7. Set up the scheduled event as required.
    8. On the Home tab, in the Process group, choose Set Status to Ready. The status is changed to Ready.
    9. Click OK
  4. If required, set up the event so that a sales invoice is sent when a sales invoice is posted.
