To set up events

  1. Open the Events window.

    Navigate to Departments/Administration/Application Setup/Event Notification/Events

  2. Double-click the event you want to set up.

  3. Set up the contacts for the event.

  4. Select the Real-Time Notification check box if event contacts should receive e-mails when the event occurs.

  5. Enter the maximum number of e-mails that will be sent for a scheduled event in the Max. Sched. Rec. Occurence field. For example, if 2 is entered for SALES_INVOICE, if the scheduled event picks up the invoice during processing, the invoice will only be sent two times.

If a scheduled event automatically occurs, or if a scheduled event is manually run, the value in this field is checked. If an e-mail is sent in real-time, then the value in the Max. Sched. Rec. Occurence field is not checked.
