1. Set up the E-Mail Customer Statement check box on the customer card.

    1. Open the Customer Card window.

      Navigate to Departments/Sales & Marketing/Lists/Customers, and then double-click the desired customer.

    2. Go to the Communication FastTab.

    3. Select the E-Mail Customer Statement check box.

  2. If required, set up a scheduled event.

    You can set up a scheduled event so that a customer statement is sent at a defined time.

    A Navision Application Server (NAS) is required for job scheduling.

    Note: In order for contacts to receive scheduled notifications, the Receive Scheduled Notification check box must be selected for the contact on the Event Contacts window.

    1. Open the Events window.
      Navigate to Departments/Administration/Application Setup/Event Notifications/Events.

    2. Click the Scheduled Notification field for the CUSTOMER_STATEMENT code. The Job Queue Entries window opens.

    3. Click New. The Job Queue Entry Card window opens.

    4. Select Report in the Object Type to Run field.

    5. Enter 23019137 in the Object ID to Run field.

    6. Enter JOBQUEUE in the Parameter String field.

    7. Set up the scheduled event as required.

    8. On the Home tab, in the Process group, choose Set Status as Ready. The status is changed to Ready.

    9. Click OK. The Job Queue Entries window closes.

    10. In the Option Filters field, enter the options for the schedule notifications. Separate each option with a tilde (~). For example, Y~Y~N~Y~0~2~40D~Y~.

      Position Option Values Description
      1 All Having Entries N~,Y~ Enter Y~ to print an account statement for all customers with entries in the statement period.
      2 All Having Balances N~,Y~ Enter Y~ to print an account statement for all customers with a balance by the end of the statement period.
      3 Update Numbers N~,Y~ Enter Y~ if you want Microsoft Dynamics NAV to update the Last Statement No. field on each customer card after it e-mails the customer's statement. Enter N~ if you are not using statement numbers.
      4 Print Company N~,Y~ Enter Y~ to include the company address in the customer statement. If you enter N~, your company's name and address will not be included on the customer statement.
      5 Statement Style 0~, 1~ 0~: E-mail open item statements, which list all entries, which are still open as of the date calculated based on the Default Customer Statement Start Date Formula value on the Event Notification Setup window.
      1~: E-mail balance forward statements, which list all entries made during the statement period calculated based on the Default Customer Statement Start Date Formula value on the Event Notification Setup window.
      6 Aging Method 0~, 1~, 2~, 3~ 0~: None: You do not want aging on the statements.
      1~: Transaction Date: Aging indicates the number of days since the transaction posting date.
      2~: Due Date: Aging indicates the number of days the transaction is overdue. Amounts not yet due are current.
      3~: Document Date: Aging indicates the number of days since the document date.
      7 Period Calculation   Enter the length of each of the aging periods. For example, enter 30D~ to base aging on 30 day intervals. If you are not including the aging on the statements, leave this field blank.
      8 Log Interaction N~,Y~ Enter Y~ if you want the program to log this interaction.
  3. If required, set up the event so that a customer statement can be manually sent.

    Note: In order for contacts to receive real-time notifications, the Receive Real-Time Notification check box must be selected for the contact on the Event Contacts window.

    1. Open the Events window.
      Navigate to Departments/Administration/Application Setup/Event Notifications/Events

    2. Double-click the CUSTOMER_STATEMENT code. The Edit-Events window opens. 

    3. Select the Real-Time Notification check box for the CUSTOMER_STATEMENT code.
      Selecting this check box allows you to e-mail a customer statement from the Customers window by choosing Send Customer Statement E-Mail (PDF) on the Actions tab, in the Functions group. 

    4. Click OK.
